This bookmark found within the bible is a momento of Thomas Farrer Hoggarth. He was the brother of William Hoggarth who married Margaret Sandham. The War Graves Commission web site records "Lance Corporal W. Hoggarth, 8th Bn., King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regt.) who died aged 36 on Monday, 9th April 1917. He was the son of Thomas Farrer Hoggarth and Sarah Hoggarth, of Lindal-in-Furness; husband of Ethel Hoggarth, of 5, Mount Pleasant, Lindal-in-Furness."
