The Friends Meeting House just outside Low Bentham dates from 1718. It is up a short lane off the road to Burton located in a very peaceful spot. On the gravestones are many family names important to the history of Bentham, including Cumberland, Fisher, Ford, Knowles, Rice - all names mentioned in Bibby's History.
