Wednesday is Bentham's market day. In the nineteen fifties numerous stalls lined the Main Street on market day, very much as illustrated in David Johnson's Century of Bentham. This is a solitary stall outside the Coach House Inn (formerly the Brown Cow) on a Saturday in April 2007. it appeared to be doing good business.
